1 Hotel Nashville, Nashville’s first mission-driven sustainable luxury hotel, is pleased to announce the appointment of Onal Kucuk as general manager. Kucuk will spearhead all operations and strategic goals for the property, and oversee the 178 guest rooms and 37 suites, as well as 1 Kitchen Nashville, Harriet’s Rooftop, Neighbors Café, and Bamford Wellness Spa.
Most recently in the role of general manager at The Guild Hotel in San Diego, Kucuk brings extensive experience in luxury and lifestyle hotels. Previously, Kucuk spent several years with Hyatt, from Ventana Big Sur, a luxury coastal resort, to Thompson Chicago, a chic hotel in the Gold Coast neighborhood. He also spent more than a decade with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, holding various operational leadership positions including Black Belt- Area Director of Six Sigma for the Midwest.

To bring the space to life, SH Hotels & Resorts In-House Design Team worked along with the team at Workshop/APD to dive into the region’s diverse natural beauty. Through the use of reclaimed wood, native greenery, and organic textures, 1 Hotel Nashville’s design pays homage to the surrounding nature and takes inspiration from Tennessee’s landscape. 1 Hotel Nashville offers three dining concepts, each with its own distinct culinary offerings and experiences: 1 Kitchen Nashville – an airy and bright concept featuring seasonal, ingredient-driven, and zero-waste menu items, Neighbor’s Cafe- a grab-and-go counter serving light fare, juices, fair-trade coffee and more, and Harriet’s Rooftop Bar- located on the 19th floor, with indoor/outdoor lounge seating, serving bespoke libations and eclectic bites coupled with entertainment and curated table experiences.
