25hours Hotel Dubai One Central – recipient of Breakout Property of the Year during last week’s Hotelier Middle East Awards – has named its new general manager. Mads Wolff steps into the role, a sneaker-loving chef-turned-hotel manager looking to bring the enormously successful hotel to even greater heights.
Wolff served as hotel manager of 25hours Hotel Dubai One Central since 2019, now in his first-ever general manager position. Part of the hotel’s original launch team, he has been hailed as an integral part of the team and its triumphant opening. As GM, he will be “gearing up” the hotel for a new season.
Speaking about his promotion, the GM said: “I wanted to come into this role to truly make a difference for the property and the team within it. My goal is to ensure we are doing things unlike anyone else in the city and to set a new precedent for the ever-growing lifestyle hotel industry. Our tribe is one of the main reasons the hotel is successful. I wanted to make sure they have the best quality of life in and out of work, and most importantly that they are happy.”
He continued: “The most important thing for me is to help people and get them to grow and achieve their goals.”
Mads Wolff’s career
His time as hotel manager of the One Central property in fact marked his first operational role. Before 2019, Wolff’s career was solely dedicated to F&B and culinary. He previously served as director of restaurants and bars at Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown, also having a hand for the brand in Bali simultaneously; and worked as executive chef before that.
He has also held chef titles within W Hotels across numerous countries and spent time in independent kitchens across the likes of Japan and Denmark also.
