Puente Romano Beach Resort Appoints Juan Gonzalez as Executive Chef

The Mediterranean’s five-star Puente Romano Beach Resort, known for its extensive food & beverage offerings, boasting 12 restaurants featuring global cuisines, has appointed Chef Juan Gonzalez to the role of Executive Chef.

An expert in international gastronomy, Gonzalez has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry in destinations including China, Dubai, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia, bringing a wealth of global knowledge to his new role. Gonzalez most recently held the role of Regional Director of Food & Beverage at Melia Hotels International in the Dominican Republic where he created efficient strategies to increase sales and oversaw strict quality control measures. Previously Gonzalez was nominated by the BBC Food Awards Magazine for Best Chef in Dubai and nominated for Best European Restaurant in Dubai, two years in a row (2013 & 2012). He received his Bachelor’s in Cuisine from I.E.S. La Rosaleda in Malaga, Spain.

 In his new role as Executive Chef at Puente Romano Beach Resort, Chef Gonzalez is responsible for overseeing all dining venues on the property in addition to the creation and execution of new menu offerings and gastronomic experiences across the resort’s various culinary offerings.
