SH Hotels & Resorts, a sustainable hotel brand management company that operates 1 Hotels, Treehouse Hotels & Baccarat Hotels & Resorts, announced the hiring of Ron Sheldon as Senior Vice President of Technical Services. In this role, Ron will lead all Technical Services efforts and related standards and act as liaison between our brands and our development partners. He will ensure the brand’s commitment to sustainability is always first and foremost as each property is developed, spearheading findings and recommendations for building-related sustainability solutions.

Ron comes to SH Hotels & Resorts with over two decades of hotel development, design, technical services, and construction management experience in the hospitality industry. He is an industry leader in new construction, historic preservation, adaptive re-use and mixed-use buildings in North America. He is experienced in all facets of commercial real estate with a focus on 4+ star hotels, restaurants and high-rise residential. So far in his career, Ron has developed over 65 hotels and 75 restaurants in major markets throughout North America. He was part of Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants’ Senior Development, Design and Construction management team for nearly 20 years. Beyond that, the brands he has impacted with his expertise include Thompson Hotels, Tommie Hotels, Destination Hotels and Resorts, Joie de Vivre Hotels and Alila resorts.
