Nestled in a 22.7-acre valley surrounded by lush jungle, soaring peaks and hidden caves, The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat is home to healthy geothermal springs that bubble up from the Earth. For more than a decade, this all-villa retreat has provided a spectacular setting for guests to relax, refresh their senses and reconnect with nature.

One key element of the property is Jeff’s Cellar, the multi-award-winning signature restaurant. Set in the softly-illuminated chamber of a limestone cave, with a dramatic backdrop of stalactites, stalagmites and rippling water features, this enchanting venue sees talented chefs present a series of tantalising tasting menus. Much of the produce is grown onsite in three organic gardens that cover 100 sqm and have been certified with the myOrganic license from the Malaysian government. This has resulted in Jeff’s Cellar winning a series of major global honours and accolades, including being named as one of the “Top Five Most Magnificent Bars in the World” by CNN Greece.

Beyond these exceptional epicurean offerings, The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat showcases 44 Garden, Water and Lake Villas ranging from 81 to 260 sqm in size, plus a one-of-a-kind wellness centre that includes a Thermal Steam Cave, Ice Bath, Geothermal Hot Spring Dipping Pools, Crystal Cave and Meditation Cave, as well as fantastic facilities for indoor and outdoor events.

As the world starts to travel again and people become even more conscious of their personal health and wellness, The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat will be a highly sought-after place to unwind and revive. Just a two-hour drive from Kuala Lumpur city, three hours from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and only two hours from the historical island of Penang, this is a serene sanctuary for Malaysians and international visitors alike. Marc Groh and his team look forward to welcoming guests and to creating unparalleled experiences for every occasion.
