Confident in the recovery of the Washington, DC area market, Teneo Hospitality Group, the premier group representation firm, has named veteran hotel and group meetings sales executive Scott White as Director of Sales.
As a part of Teneo’s Washington, DC office, Mr. White will support the company’s strategic efforts to serve the vital association and corporate meetings market in the Mid-Atlantic region. He will also help Teneo expand its initiatives to grow these markets nationally and globally. A long-time resident of the D.C. Metro Region and an established leader in group sales, marketing, and destination management, Mr. White brings over 30 years of experience to his new role.

Scott White began his career at Saddlebrook Resort in Tampa before joining the Washington DC office of The Krisam Group & Global Events Partners. In this capacity, he managed 400 association, corporate and third-party accounts. In fact, Mr. White’s father, Chris White, founded Krisam in 1975 and led the company to international prominence, representing hundreds of luxury properties and leading destinations around the world. After 22 years at Krisam, Scott White was then appointed Regional Director of Sales at Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI), where he oversaw 125 key client accounts in the Washington, DC area.
Most recently, Mr. White was Director of Global Sales at PRA, Inc., a leading destination management company with 29 offices across the U.S and with revenues in excess of $200 million. White opened the company’s DC office in 2019 and helped develop the market, focusing on client success through conferences, events and brand development. Under his leadership, the company developed a full cycle-strategy for client event planning. This included every aspect of the process from budgeting, site selection and hotel contract negotiations to marketing, sponsor relations, invoice reconciliation and complete onsite event management.
Throughout his exceptional career, Scott White has been a leader in industry and community organizations. He is a member of PCMA (Professional Convention Management Association), MPI (Meeting Professionals International), PMPI (Potomac Meeting Professionals International-Potomac Chapter), ASAE (American Society of Association Executives), MIPA (Meeting & Incentive Professionals of Annapolis), AMCI (Association Management Companies Institute), and ADME (Association of Destination Management Companies. Serving his community, Mr. White worked for many years to support the Washington, DC. Chapter of “I Have a Dream” Foundation, and even raised sufficient funds to provide college tuition for 53 inner-city school children. He is also a Team Parent Liaison for various Montgomery County, Maryland, boys’ & girls’ sports teams.
Scott D. White holds a bachelor’s degree in Science & Business from the University of Maryland at College Park and an MBA from Clemson University. He resides in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife Lauren and children Alexandra and Nicholas.
