Michael Palmer named General Leader at Flamingo Resort

Michael Palmer Flamingo ResortFlamingo Resort, part of the SPOKEN brand by Santa Rosa-based hotel management company Point Group announced the appointment of Michael Palmer as General Leader. Palmer will oversee all operations of the iconic mid-century hotel located at the gateway to Sonoma’s Wine Country, leading multiple department teams to ensure the resort’s continued success.

A seasoned hotelier with over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Palmer brings a plethora of local connections and a unique insight from his tenure as General Manager of Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa Valley that will be valuable in carrying out the SPOKEN experience for guests and team members at Flamingo Resort. Palmer’s various other general manager positions include Embassy Suites, IHG Hotels & Resorts, and Pacific Host Hotels.

Palmer is a hands-on leader with proven success in building strong teams and relationships with both employees and guests.  Throughout his career, Palmer has demonstrated impressive leadership and thrives in environments that foster a rich and unique guest and employee experience.

In his leisure time, Michael and his wife like to garden, growing their own fresh herbs and organic vegetables. Based in Green Valley near Napa, Michael enjoys spending time with his four children and seven grandchildren.

In addition to a new general leader, Jeff Morris has also joined the Flamingo Resort property-level team as Director of Operations. Originally from California, Jeff was most recently at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas and is eager to return to his home state and be part of the Flamingo team.
