Stanly Ranch, Auberge Resorts Collection, a new luxury resort and residential property in Napa Valley, has appointed Avi Haksar as General Manager. A seasoned hospitality professional with more than 20 years of luxury experience, Haksar will oversee all operations for the 700-acre property that is anticipated to open in November 2021.
“We are fortunate that Avi has been a part of the Auberge Resorts Collection family for several years, and is continuing his journey with us as General Manager of Stanly Ranch,” says Craig Reid, chief executive officer, Auberge Resorts Collection. “His extensive hospitality background and knowledge of the Napa Valley region make him perfectly suited to launch a new luxury resort that is completely unique to the destination.”
Haksar joined Auberge Resorts Collection as General Manager in 2018. Prior to joining, Haksar held leadership positions at luxury hotels and resorts worldwide, including Rosewood Sand Hill in Menlo Park, California, Hotel Crescent Court in Dallas, and Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts in Bangkok, Los Angeles, and Seattle.
“I’m thrilled to lead an incredible team at Stanly Ranch, especially during this exciting period of opening,” said Haksar. “I look forward to welcoming guests to see a new Napa Valley that can be discovered at the resort, with incredible culinary, wellbeing, and experiences for both new guests and those who know and love our Napa properties.”
Born and raised in Mumbai, India, Haksar was initially interested in marine life, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from the University of Miami and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Chemistry at St. Xaviers in Bombay, India. After spending several years in France, he redirected his focus, discovering a passion for the hospitality industry which ultimately led to his decision to return to school to obtain a certificate in Hotel Management, Operations, and Sales from Les Roches in Switzerland.
Set on over 700 acres of rolling vineyards in the southern section of Napa Valley’s wine-growing region, Stanly Ranch, Auberge Resorts Collection will include 135 airy hotel cottage suites, all featuring outdoor terraces with fire pits and views of the property’s vineyards and the Mayacamas Mountains. The resort will also encompass 70 vineyard residences, together with 40 villas, Hale House, an Auberge spa founded on restoration and recovery, and a working winery and farm. At the crossroads of Napa and Sonoma, Stanly Ranch will offer four unique dining venues that pay homage to local farmers and makers, enhanced wellbeing offerings and a behind-the-scenes look at wine country with a unique range of immersive experiences.
