The Kessler Collection is thrilled to introduce Mark Castriota as the new Managing Director of JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District.
He started his hospitality career in the Marriott family after graduating with a B.S. in hospitality from Indiana University in Pennsylvania and brings his extensive knowledge to Savannah, with over 21 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including his most recent position as Managing Director for Hard Rock Hotel in Universal’s Orlando Resort.
Mark is highly accomplished and experienced in numerous aspects of the hospitality sector, such as food and beverage, operations, catering, and overall brand management. His career in hospitality has taken him and his family to numerous states, including Washington D.C., South Carolina, Illinois, Florida, and now Georgia. He also enjoys being a part of the community he lives and works in and has served on the Executive Board of the Georgia Hospitality & Lodging Association, Chair of the Atlanta Hotel Council, Board of the Atlanta Convention Visitors Bureau, and many more
He will bring his expertise in hospitality with him as he oversees The Kessler Collection’s Plant Riverside District, the largest redevelopment in the history of Savannah’s National Historic Landmark District. Known as “Savannah’s Entertainment District,” Plant Riverside District is a $375 million project expanding the city’s iconic riverfront to a 4.5-acre waterfront hospitality and entertainment destination, anchored by the 419-room JW Marriott Savannah.
