BENCHMARK, has appointed Dee Zumbo director of rooms for Hotel Contessa, a AAA Four Diamond-rated, all-suite hotel in San Antonio, Texas, on the city’s legendary Riverwalk. Troy Mathews, general manager for the Benchmark Resorts & Hotels property, made the announcement.
“I am very pleased to welcome Dee to Benchmark and to Hotel Contessa,” said Mr. Mathews. “She comes to us with a solid professional background in hotel operations and rooms management, developed domestically and internationally. Dee is a terrific addition to our hotel’s leadership team.”
Dee Zumbo previously held the director of rooms position for the Park Hyatt Hotel on St. Kitts. Prior to this appointment, she served as assistant director of rooms for Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa, located in Lost Pines, Texas. She began her hospitality career working in guest services and front office operations.
Ms. Zumbo is a graduate of Florida SouthWestern State College where she earned her degree in business administration and management. She resides in the San Antonia area.
