Hotel Indigo DTLA appoints Catherine Kent as Director of Sales & MarketingHotel Indigo® Los Angeles Downtown has announced the appointment of Catherine Kent as Director of Sales & Marketing for the design-driven, urban property in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. Joining the IHG family to lead the award-winning sales team of the Hotel Indigo brand’s flagship property, Kent will leverage her extensive knowledge and experience of the competitive Los Angeles market in her new role.

With over 25 years of experience, Kent is widely recognized as a superior leader with a proven track record of conceptualizing and implementing innovative sales and marketing strategies for hotels. Most recently, she served as Director of Sales & Marketing for Hilton Long Beach where she set strategy and oversaw implementation of advertising, public relations, social media, and direct sales plans for the 400-room hotel. Seamlessly leading across multiple departments, Kent also supported and coordinated full-service hotel marketing plans as well as deployed revenue maximization strategies for the rooms and catering sectors. Prior to that, Kent led the sales and marketing efforts for the Hilton Checkers hotel in downtown Los Angeles for four years. Individually responsible for business, transient, citywide, and entertainment market segments, Kent was successful in all revenue generating areas in order to achieve annual budget.

In prior years, Kent held the title of Director of Sales & Marketing at numerous East Coast properties including Royal Sonesta Hotel Boston, Radisson Hotel Boston, Radisson Hotel Marlborough, Tremont Hotel, and Mansfield Host Hotel. She holds numerous industry awards including her most recent recognition as the 2016 Crestline Hotels & Resorts Director of Sales & Marketing of the Year.

Kent now resides in sunny Manhattan Beach, California, after moving from her life-long home of Boston five years ago. Still an avid New England Patriots fan, she enjoys watching sports in spare time along with traveling with friends, cooking, and running on the beach.
