The Benchmark Resorts & Hotels property is expected to open in August. Greg Stafford, general manager, made the announcement.
“It is such a pleasure to welcome Tiaan to our professional management team,” said Mr Stafford. “Not only is he highly qualified in all areas of hotel operations, he has a strong background with Benchmark and a keen understanding of the company’s ‘Be The Difference’ guest service philosophy.”
Tiaan Homann was previously director of rooms at Benchmark’s Eaglewood Resort & Spa located in Chicago, a position he was promoted to following success in conference sales for the property. He has also held positions as front office manager and food & beverage outlet manager for Benchmark at the resort. Earlier he worked in the food & beverage department for Marriott Hotels.
Mr Homann is a graduate of the University of Johannesburg where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Administration and Management. He is relocating to College Station.
