Rosewood San Miguel de Allende appoints Alexandra Long as first-ever Art Concierge

 

Rosewood San Miguel de Allende, the luxury hotel nestled in an enchanting artists’ village north of Mexico City, has appointed Alexandra Long as the hotel’s first-ever Art Concierge. In this new role, Ms Long will help guests discover the vibrant creative scene of San Miguel de Allende through immersive programming, curated excursions, and personalized tours. Ê

As Art Concierge, Ms Long will be responsible for managing Rosewood San Miguel de Allende’s rotating collection of authentic Mexican artwork in the hotel’s public spaces, dealing with the acquisition, care and display of each individual piece. Ms Long will also coordinate educational art talks and tours, oversee the on-property, monthly art market and serve as a resource for both guests and visitors looking to learn more about San Miguel’s rich artisan culture.

The addition of the new Art Concierge position builds upon Rosewood San Miguel de Allende’s already robust art-focused guest programming, which includes the Artist in You, a unique welcome amenity that allows guests to tap their inner artist with an easel, paint and inspiration from the city’s iconic skyline.

Prior to joining Rosewood San Miguel de Allende, Ms Long earned her Master of Arts in ItalianÊand Classics at the University of Edinburgh in 2015, which included experience studying at the University of Bologna, where she worked in field archaeology at the Marzabotto excavation site and volunteered at the Medieval Museum of Bologna. Ms Long is currently finishing her Masters in Conservation of Fine Art with a specialization in Easel Painting at Northumbria Institute.Ê
