TFE Hotels has today announced the inking of a two-year extension of their sponsorship agreement with Hockey Australia. The agreement will see homegrown hotel brand, Adina Hotels maintain a strong presence with the sport’s flagship teams.
Set to get the biggest boost from the extended partnership is community hockey, as Adina looks to increase its presence within Hockey Australia’s newest programme, Hookin2Hockey for 5 – 12-year-olds, as well as adding additional Adina Community Clinics across the country.
It’s an initiative that Hockey Australia CEO, David Pryles, says is vital for the longevity of hockey in Australia.
“Adina Hotel’s support at both the grassroots and elite level of our sport continues to be incredibly valuable. When you see the kids’ faces light up at an Adina Community Clinic, you see the true value of their support,” he said. “We were excited in 2022 to align with Adina as a highly recognisable and respected Australian brand, and we would like to thank them for their commitment to hockey.”
Adina operates apartment-style hotels in Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Hungary, and Singapore and will remain Hockey Australia’s ‘home away from home’ accommodation partner at home games and abroad.
In announcing the sponsorship, TFE Hotel’s Chief Executive Officer, Antony Ritch, said the two brands were united in their unwavering support of grassroots community sports and in the desire to nurture the next generation of Olympic athletes.
“Adina’s partnership with Hockey Australia really resonates with our core values of community, family and a shared sense of belonging,” Antony said. “We’ve enjoyed a strong partnership with Hockey Australia over the past two years and are proud to be supporting hockey – from the youngest playing members right through to our Masters players.”
Ritch said the wider Adina team was also extremely excited to back the Kookaburras and Hockeyroos in their Paris Olympic campaign, and beyond,
Under the agreement, Adina will remain the official partner of Hockey Australia’s suite of National Hockey Championships including, U14, U16, U18, U21, the Indoor Championships, Country Championships and Masters Championships.
