Mews, the industry-leading hospitality cloud and winner of Best PMS at HotelTechAwards 2024, is being rolled out by Remington Hospitality across several of their independent hotels and resorts.

Remington Hospitality is a forward-thinking hotel management company with an extensive US portfolio of over 130 properties. Following the successful pilot at Seahorse Oceanfront Inn, the group decided to migrate its independent hotels from a legacy system to Mews, a cloud-native, award-winning property management system.

“It became obvious that the best way to deliver outstanding hospitality was through a modern, open solution,” said Gilbert Arrendondo, SVP of Revenue Strategy at Remington Hospitality. “Mews gives us access to an incredible range of best-in-class hotel technology and allows each hotel to build the tech ecosystem that’s appropriate for them. We’ve already seen great results at the Seahorse Oceanfront Inn, and we can’t wait to see the impact across our portfolio.”

Key integration partners for the brand include OpenKey, Book4Time and Oaky, all of which can be connected through Mews Marketplace via a no-cost integration. With OpenKey, guests can use their smartphones as room keys, helping to create a seamless digital experience. Oaky integrates frictionless upselling into the guest journey, making it easy to purchase upgrades and ancillary services while alleviating some of the pressure on staff.

“As technology continues to rapidly change, embracing open hospitality is the only way to ensure access to the very best solutions across every element of hotel operations,” said Richard Valtr, Mews Founder. “I’m delighted that another industry leader like Remington Hospitality has recognized the power of Mews, and I can’t wait to work closely together as we both keep growing in the coming years.”

Mews offers a range of implementation options, and the group opted for premium onsite onboarding across all properties. With this comprehensive on-property training and go-live support, the Mews team handles the bulk of the system configuration set-up, allowing the hotel teams to focus on their operations.

Amber Nelson is the Hotel Manager at Seahorse Oceanfront Inn, the first Remington Hospitality hotel to go live with Mews. She said: “I cannot say enough about how great this transition experience has been. The Mews team not only knows their system but understands that the experience for the client is so very important. My team has been raving about the on-site training and I really appreciate that it was custom to each individual’s needs.”

This news follows the recent acquisition of US PMS Frontdesk Anywhere by Mews, reinforcing their commitment to expansion in North America.
