U.S. lifts restrictions on some international travel

US travel restrictionsThe Biden Administration announced its new travel policy that beginning November 8 foreign national air travelers can enter the United States with the requirement that they be fully vaccinated and provide proof of their vaccination status to fly to the U.S.

Fully vaccinated travelers will continue to be required to show a pre-departure negative test taken within three days of travel prior to boarding. This announcement and date apply to both international air travel and travel across the land borders with Mexico and Canada.

“I am delighted that the U.S. will reopen its borders to the many countries shut out for so many months – and in our most recent GBTA pandemic recovery poll, nearly 75% of respondents wholeheartedly agree with this particular action. International travel is critical to promoting global trade and growing worldwide understanding. It’s a much-needed milestone of support for the business travel sector worth $1.4 trillion to the global economy, “said Suzanne Neufang, CEO, GBTA.
