Sushanth Nambiar has been named the new general manager for Novotel Muscat Airport hotel in Oman. In the role, Nambiar will leverage more than two decades of experience to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure stakeholders’ needs are met.
Nambiar is already well-versed in Oman hospitality. Previously, he spent three years with Accor as cluster GM of the Mercure hotel in Soha and the Ibis Hotel in Muscat. Before that, much of his time spent in the industry was in the emirates.
In 1999, he started with The Metropolitan Hotel Dubai as assistant F&B manager, later joining The Metropolitan Palace Hotel Dubai in the same position in 2002. Following a two-year stint in Doha, he joined Millennium Hotel Abu Dhabi as assistant F&B manager and then Holiday Inn Abu Dhabi as F&B manager.
In 2012, he joined Danat Hotels as director of food and beverage in Al Ain, moving up to EAM of food and beverage in 2015. His first role outside of F&B management came in 2017 as GM of Sheraton Al Khalidiya Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
