Auberge Resorts Collection has appointed Ekrem Tercanoglu as general manager of Goldener Hirsch, Auberge Resorts Collection, the collection’s European-style mountainous retreat in the iconic year-round destination of Deer Valley, Utah. Tercanoglubrings more than three decades of luxury hospitality experience from leadership roles around the globe to his new position overseeing hotel operations. Located steps away from the Deer Valley Mountain chairlift, which offers endless access to pristine hiking trails and ski runs, the 18-room historic hotel recently debuted a modern transformation and expansion, including 40 new state-of-the-art residences and contemporary resort amenities designed by acclaimed architect Tom Kundig.

A graduate from the Private Professional School of Hotel and Restaurant Management in Istanbul, Tercanoglu began his professional career as assistant manager at Boca Raton Resort and Club in Boca Raton, Fla. and then on to Director of Restaurants at Four Seasons Ocean Grand Hotel in Palm Beach. Over the following two decades, he worked with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in various director of food and beverage positions in Los Angeles, Lanai and Cairo, while also co-owning and managing the Metronome Grand Brassiere in Palm Beach. In 2019, he began his journey with Auberge Resorts Collection as resort manager at Mauna Lani, Auberge Resorts Collection in Hawaii and more recently at Madeline Hotel & Residences, Auberge Resorts Collection in Telluride, Colo.

Tercanoglu is a global traveler and lover of cooking, sports and music. In his downtime, he looks forward to exploring the great state of Utah with his wife and two kids. His greatest strengths include assembling and leading teams while encouraging a positive environment and healthy challenges. He is able to operate diverse teams at both a strategic and tactical level and combine a high level of attention to detail with an ability to execute strategic priorities.
