IHG collaborates with Campari

Sala SpiritelloLeading luxury hotel brand InterContinental® Hotels & Resorts collaborates with Campari to launch a series of Sala Spiritello pop up across South East Asia.

The partnership between the two luxury icons will also see the birth of a brand-new InterContinental Negroni, created exclusively by Campari’s Regional Brand Ambassador for South East Asia, Symphony Loo.

With international travel on hold, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts aims to bring luxury travel experiences to life at its hotels and resorts in South East Asia. Led by Campari’s regional brand ambassadors, both local and hotel guests can immerse in the Milanese culture and rituals of aperitivo and digestivo, through a series of masterclasses and suite experiences.

“Inspiration of the Camparino in Galleria with 105 years of history, is the symbol of the authentic Milanese aperitivo. The most important intervention is The Sala Spiritello, hidden within Camparino, where the art of mixology meets the aromas and flavour of the food mastery. We are delighted to partner with InterContinental Hotels & Resorts bringing the rituals of aperitivo & digestivo experience to South East Asia,” said Daniel Schwalb, Campari Managing Director – South East Asia and India.

“At InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, we pride ourselves to immerse guests in local cultural wisdom and international know-how. At a time when our guests are unable to travel internationally, our partnership with Campari is a great way for our hotels to continue engaging local guests and bring forth a taste of Italy through worldly classics. The new InterContinental Negroni will give us more cheers to usher in 2021,” said Mark Flower, VP Commercial, IHG South East Asia & Korea.

The New InterContinental Negroni is exclusively available at participating hotels and resorts. Created by Symphony Loo, Campari’s regional brand ambassador, the InterContinental Negroni is an exclusive for InterContinental Hotels & Resorts. “My inspiration stems from the go-to gifts such as locally-sourced coffee beans, tea and chocolate that we bring home to friends and families when travelling within South East Asia. Taste profile of the drink includes floral notes, coffee, hint of saltiness and citrus,” shared Symphony Loo.

Founded in 1946 by aviation pioneer, Juan Trippe, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts is today the world’s largest luxury hotel brand. The brand has a history of pioneering luxury travel – by the end of the 1960s, the brand had debuted in Europe and Asia, reaching almost all four corners of the globe. From 1946 to 1970, Juan Trippe opened more than 60 hotels in 50 countries – at a time when the fastest transcontinental communication device was the telephone and the telegram.
