Parmelia Hilton Perth has appointed passionate hotelier Oliver Schwartz as their new General Manager, taking the helm at the cusp of a new chapter for the property.
At Perth’s first five-star hotel, Oliver will be instrumental in leading the property into the future, as the team gear up for some major changes over the coming years. Drawing on 17 years in the hotel industry, he brings a fresh balance of operational and commercial experience from key city centre hotels across Melbourne, London and Beijing.
Oliver’s attention to detail makes him a natural fit for Parmelia Hilton Perth, having worked on a number of luxury and lifestyle properties worldwide.
Parmelia Hilton Perth first opened in 1969, entering a new era in 2021 when it underwent a $45 million refurbishment across its façade, lobby, rooms and suites. The introduction of an Executive Lounge and internal thoroughfare connecting to Brookfield Place Perth made it the prime location for work and play in Perth’s CBD. The hotel’s latest focus has been on experience-led offerings, recently announcing a first-of-its-kind partnership with Margaret River winery Vasse Felix.
Oliver officially began his role on Monday 4 May, taking over from Interim General Manager David Wain.
