Accor is preparing to welcome a new address to Western Sydney, with The Sebel Sydney Parramatta scheduled to open in August 2026.

Developed by Nirskam Group and to be managed by Accor, the new-build hotel will bring an extended-stay offering to one of Sydney’s fastest-growing economic and cultural centres. The property will feature 51 studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites, designed for both short and longer stays.

Positioned on Victoria Road, Parramatta, the property will offer a residential-style experience for corporate and leisure travellers seeking the space, comfort and flexibility to settle in and make the most of their time in the city.

The opening comes as Parramatta continues to accelerate its transformation into a major economic, cultural and tourism destination. Backed by significant public and private investment, the city is emerging as one of the country’s most important growth centres, with a local economy valued at approximately AUD 28.86 billion, making it the second-largest economy in New South Wales. The city is currently home to around 178,000 jobs, while its population is projected to exceed 500,000 by 2050, underscoring the scale of its long-term growth trajectory.

This momentum is being fuelled by landmark developments including Parramatta Square, the Powerhouse Parramatta museum project, the redevelopment of Riverside Theatres, and strengthening transport connections across Greater Sydney. With the opening of Western Sydney International Airport expected next year, Parramatta is increasingly positioned as a key gateway for business, culture, events and entertainment in the region.

Boutique in scale and refined in feel, The Sebel Sydney Parramatta is designed to offer a more personalised stay. Interiors will combine contemporary design with a strong sense of comfort and functionality, while smart room integration, high-speed Wi-Fi, in-room casting technology, and self-check-in kiosks will support a seamless guest journey. Additional offerings will include in-room dining, a 24-hour fitness centre, communal spaces designed for both work and relaxation, and on-site parking.

Guests will also be able to enjoy a vibrant food and beverage offering, including an all-day dining restaurant centred on Italian cuisine, as well as a rooftop bar and terrace designed to appeal to hotel guests and the local Parramatta market alike. A small meeting room adjoining the rooftop terrace will cater to intimate gatherings of four to six guests, with the option to hire the indoor space and terrace together.

“The Sebel Sydney Parramatta will offer a really attractive extended-stay experience to a destination that is entering an exciting new chapter,” said Adrian Williams, Chief Operating Officer of Accor in the Pacific region. “Parramatta is evolving rapidly as a centre for business, culture and visitation, and this hotel is well placed to meet growing demand for high-quality accommodation that offers the comforts of home.”

Michael Rignall, General Manager at The Sebel Sydney Parramatta, added: “We are excited to be preparing to welcome guests to The Sebel Sydney Parramatta and introduce a new boutique extended-stay experience to this fast-growing market. The hotel has been thoughtfully designed to deliver the space, comfort and flexibility today’s travellers are seeking, while also creating a stay experience that feels genuinely connected to the energy and character of Parramatta.”

Located within walking distance of CommBank Stadium, Parramatta CBD and key dining precincts, the hotel will offer strong access to Sydney CBD and Greater Western Sydney’s major business hubs, making it a compelling base for work and leisure alike.

The opening will take Accor’s Western Sydney network to 22 hotels, strengthening its footprint across one of Australia’s most dynamic and fast-evolving regions.
