Kona Kai Resort & Spa, the newly-renovated legendary resort located on the tip of Shelter Island in San Diego, is pleased to announce that Jenna Reeder has been named the manager of the new SpaTerre, recently named Condé Nast Traveler 10 Best Spas in San Diego.
A seasoned spa professional with expertise in managing luxury spas, Reeder is ideally suited to build upon SpaTerre’s award-winning reputation by delivering exceptional customer service and distinctive spa experiences.
“We are delighted to welcome Jenna to the Kona Kai team and to manage operations for our world-class spa,” said founder and chairman of Noble House Hotels & Resorts, Pat Colee. “She brings the perfect combination of management experience and creativity to help us continue to establish SpaTerre as the go-to luxury spa destination for San Diego visitors and residents alike.”
Jenna comes to SpaTerre at Kona Kai Resort & Spa from The Spa at Harrah’s Resort Southern California, where she led a team of 42 staff and oversaw all daily spa operations with a keen focus on providing outstanding customer service. In 2016, Jenna managed a seven million dollar renovation of the 11,000 square-foot spa and the expansion of its services. Jenna is a local San Diego resident and grew up in nearby Valley Center in north San Diego County.
Set amidst the resort’s captivating private beach and marina, SpaTerre is a new, 7,020 square-foot oasis featuring six treatment rooms, including a couples’ suite, “Zen Den” relaxation room, Vichy wet room and a state-of-the-art fitness center. SpaTerre at Kona Kai offers a variety of unique experiences and treatments from around the globe as well as more than a dozen spa product brands. Signature treatments include the Javanese Royal Treatment massage and exfoliation; the Sandor Poultice Therapy; and a one-of-a-kind, revolutionary Heated Quartz Sand Bed, the only one in San Diego.
In addition to the signature treatments, Reeder has developed a menu of seasonally-inspired experiences, including the Cranberry Orange Renewal body treatment and feet retreat; the Let It Glow facial featuring Skin Authority; and the Champagne Soak and Champagne Shimmer Pedi. SpaTerre is also giving back to its local community during the holiday season by offering discounted SpaTerre treatments for spouses of deployed military personnel at nearby Miramar Marine Corps Air Station.
