Following the opening of Ikos Dassia in Corfu in 2018, Ikos Resorts has announced a fourth property to its collection of luxury all-inclusive resorts, with the launch of Ikos Aria on Kos Island, Greece in May 2019.
The five-star resort will feature elegantly designed rooms and chic modern interiors, whilst bringing an elevated and luxury dimension to all-inclusive offerings on the popular Dodecanese Island. Guests will be spoiled with signature à la carte menus curated by Michelin starred chefs, private pools measuring up to an impressive 40 square metres, beach waiter service, complimentary kids clubs and an innovative ‘Dine Out’ offering allowing guests to head out to carefully selected, local restaurants across Kos Island and dine there for free as part of their all-inclusive stay.
Ikos Aria is situated on the southwest coast of Kos, one of the finest locations on the island, on an idyllic beachfront location stretching across 47 acres and offering impressive views of the Aegean Sea. Guests need not venture too far to take in some of the island’s historic sites with an ancient basilica found right in the middle of Ikos Aria’s beach. Easily accessible, the hotel is situated 45 minutes from the town of Kos and 20 minutes from Kos International Airport which has direct flights from London Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted airports.
The luxury all-inclusive resort will offer 373 contemporary and stylish rooms and one- and two-bedroom suites for couples and families. They will come with an array of spoiling features including private balconies, gardens and private pools up to an impressive 40 square metres, all with panoramic views across the Aegean Sea. Guests can also enjoy 24-hour room service and complimentary mini bars replenished daily.
Ideally located for exploring the island’s best beaches and historical sites, guests staying at the resort can visit Mastichari beach and its emerald waters, swim to the tiny islet of Kastri or enjoy views of Turkey whilst delving into ancient Greece at Asklepieion, an ancient medieval temple founded by Hippocrates.
Ikos Aria will offer eight restaurants in total, in addition to its ‘Dine Out’ programme. There will be one Mediterranean buffet and seven à la carte restaurants, including one with local Kos cuisine, with menus curated by Michelin starred chefs. Meals are complemented with an extensive choice of 300 local and international wines selected by the Ikos Sommelier.
Seven bars will be located around the resort’s lush gardens and pools serving cocktails prepared by award-winning Ikos mixologists, and branded international and local spirits.
A 850m golden sandy beach with luxurious sun loungers is reserved exclusively for hotel guests. A beach waiter service serving food and beverage, 30 minutes free beach childcare for kids over the age of 4 and a designated adults-only area will be on offer.
The spa will house private treatment rooms including a couple’s suite, a heated pool with Jacuzzi, a thermal suite with steam room and sauna, a hairdressing salon, and a beauty corner with nail salon and Anne Sémonin products. Here guests will also find a fitness studio with state-of-the-art equipment and contemporary cardio-fitness facilities.
For those looking for a more active stay, guests can make use of the extensive facilities including floodlit tennis courts, aerobics classes, basketball, beach badminton, volleyball, canoeing, pedalos, paddle boarding, mountain biking, Pilates, Zumba, table tennis and much more.
