AccorHotels’ performance improves as France’s first-quarter revenue revives

Last year,ÊParis-based AccorHotels blamed terror attacks in France for a revenue decline in the first quarter of 2016. Things are looking brighter now: AccorHotelsÕ revenue has improved slightly despite the recent hotel occupancy slump in France, one of the company’sÊhighest-earning markets. First-quarter occupancy and performance rates increased in France, Germany and Britain.

AccorHotels opens flagship skyscraper hotel in Canary Wharf

AccorHotels today opens its new flagship Novotel in LondonÕs Canary Wharf to guests. The hotel, which represents a £90 million investment from AccorHotels, situated at 40 Marsh Street and at 127 metres high, is one of the tallest buildings in the area, with 360 degree views of London taking in sights including The Shard, the Olympic Park and Greenwich Park.

AccorHotels lets travelers search for a property by mood

AccorHotels is working with a startup called Travelsify to enable guests to search according to their mood. Travelsify analyses reviews to find the attributes that travelers are looking for when booking an hotel. The ÔMoodMatchÕ search, which is being launched this week, will allow guests in France and the UK to search about 1,000ÊAccor branded properties as well as independent hotels on its platform.
