Samsotech’s CONNECT conference was held on March 10, 2022 in Dubai, UAE. Our UAE-based customers attended the conference to interact with guest and panelist speakers and catch the unveiling of our latest products at Samsotech Marketplace.
We were also celebrating our 15th anniversary that day and were grateful for the opportunity to thank many of our customers, partners, and vendors in person, for consistently choosing our technology and service.
Back in 2007, some of our customers took initiative on new technology when we first built our disruptive ID and passport reading abilities for hotels. Now in 2022, they continue to choose us, because of our new product line, commitment to constantly evolve with the industry’s changing needs and focus, on staying ahead of the game.
A decade ago, we offered only a few products for hotels. Today, we also have a wide range of products in the banking, retail, government, immigration, healthcare, and recently, restaurant industry. Our in-house Samsotech Incubation Lab fosters new product ideas and provides a platform to any Samsoknight to start, iterate, pivot and launch a product that customers will love.
Some of our most innovative products, like Samsotech Mirror, our mobile and iPad-based check in/out solution for guests on the move, and Easy Kiosk, our all-in-one kiosk- for hotel check in/out that can accept payments, print receipts, issue hotel room keys and more, were unveiled at Samsotech CONNECT. Understanding the product life cycle closely, has helped many of us develop leadership skills and contribute to the company’s culture of learning. At CONNECT, we had the honor to hear our customers share their experiences and future vision with us; namely, Shady Elashi, Assistant Director of Technology, DAMAC properties, Alejandro Vidales, Director of IT, Atlantis the Palm, Will Douglas, Information Systems Director, Premier Inn ME and Prashant Dutta, Director of IT, Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts. Contactless payments, cloud computing benefits and robotic process automation, all of which are within Samsotech’s range of products, were just some of the topics discussed that morning. We would like to thank these industry leaders for educating fellow colleagues on what their groups are working on ‘post- COVID.’
CONNECT concluded with a panel featuring Anil Ramchandran, Head of IT, Emaar Hospitality, Moamen Abdelwahed, Complex Director of IT, Habtoor hospitality, Tamer Hassan, Director of IT, Intercontinental RAK and Jayant Deshpande. This discussion was moderated by Pablo Velasco, Regional Sales Manager, Europe and the Americas, Samsotech Group of Companies. The panel discussed various new trends from housekeeping and restaurant POS to cost saving strategies that the hospitality industry is currently considering.
