Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa is embracing the spirit of the holiday season, Texas style, with a curated schedule of events and activities designed to create lasting memories.

Tucked away on 405 picturesque acres along the Colorado River, just 20 minutes from Austin, the sprawling resort offers a scenic backdrop for guests and locals alike to come together through festive traditions, delicious meals, and outdoor adventures. From the beloved tree lighting ceremony to heartwarming moments with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and ringing in the New Year with dazzling fireworks, there will be no shortage of festive fun. Visitors can enjoy a thoughtfully crafted selection of experiences that blend relaxation, adventure, and holiday cheer for all ages.

Thanksgiving Week Celebrations
  • Turkey Trot – Thursday, November 28 at 8:00am: Kick off Thanksgiving morning with a 5K fun run around the scenic resort grounds, perfect for working up an appetite for the feast ahead.
  • Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Viewing Party – Thursday, November 28 at 8:30am: Guests are welcome to join at Scribes for a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade viewing party. Scribes will have a complimentary coffee and pastry bar available, so guests can enjoy the parade with good company.
  • Thanksgiving Feast – Thursday, November 28, from 12:00pm to 6:00pm ($89 adults, $30 kids 6-12, 5 and under free): Families can celebrate with a bountiful Thanksgiving buffet featuring holiday favorites in the Lost Pines Grand Ballroom —from roasted turkey and prime rib to oysters on the half-shell, crab claws, and more.
  • Tree Lighting – Friday, November 29 at 6:00pm: Visitors are invited to join the Lost Pines Christmas tree lighting, accompanied by carolers and festive music. Take a wagon ride to see the lights and decorations, explore holiday vendors for early shopping, and enjoy a holiday movie on the lawn. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be there for photos during the ceremony, which is open to the public.
Holiday Happenings
  • McDade’s Christmas Shop – opens Friday, November 29: Travelers and locals can skip the Black Friday crowds and explore a special selection of gifts and goods at McDade’s to kick off the holiday shopping season.
  • Breakfast with Santa & Mrs. Claus – Every Sunday in December from 8:30am – 11:30am: Visitors can start their day with a hearty breakfast at Heartwood House, joined by Santa and Mrs. Claus. It’s the perfect way to fuel up for the busy holiday season alongside St. Nick himself.
  • Meet-and-Greet with Santa & Mrs. Claus – Wednesday, December 25 from 2:00pm – 8:00pm: Kids can share their holiday wish lists with Santa, who will be waiting in the lobby alongside Mrs. Claus and his helpful elves to greet everyone.
  • Story Time with Mrs. Claus – Tuesday, December 24 at 6pm: Visitors can gather in the lobby for a cherished holiday tradition as Mrs. Claus reads The Night Before Christmas, bringing the story to life for all ages.
  • Christmas Dinner – Wednesday, December 25 from 2:00pm – 8:00pm ($70++ adults, $35++ kids 6-12; kids 5 and under free): Guests can enjoy a Christmas feast at Heartwood House featuring lobster bisque, beef Wellington, glazed ham, whipped potatoes, assorted seafood, mac and cheese, and more.
  • Santa’s Workshop – Saturday November 30 – Wednesday, December 25: Families can step into an outpost of Santa’s Workshop at Lost Pines and take on the role of elves, enjoying arts, crafts, and other holiday activities.
  • Festive Cocktails at Maude’s Bar and Terrace – Throughout December: Visitors can enjoy the holiday atmosphere at Maude’s Bar and Terrace, which will be decked out in festive decorations. In addition, special seasonal cocktails will be available, offering a perfect way to sip and celebrate the holiday spirit.
To top off the holiday festivities, on New Year’s Eve travelers can welcome the new year with fireworks and a New Year’s Eve Grand Buffet. At midnight, guests can raise a glass to new adventures and the opportunities the year ahead will bring.
