The all-new Four Seasons Resort and Residences Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol is now open.

“When we decided to create a second Four Seasons experience in Los Cabos, we set out to raise the bar, creating a distinctive yet complementary experience in this beloved destination,” says Rainer Stampfer, Four Seasons President, Global Operations, Hotels and Resorts. “Every detail of this resort is designed to set the stage for not just a great vacation, but a holiday that will be remembered for a lifetime.  Inspired by Pueblos Mágicos – Mexican towns known for their enchanting qualities – we are so pleased to welcome you with genuine warmth and care at the newest Four Seasons in our growing Mexican portfolio.”
Just 30 minutes from Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) and 15 minutes from Cabo San Lucas private airport (CSL), the new Resort is envisioned as a modern expression of the traditional hacienda – vast historic estates of Mexico and beyond – and designed to feel as welcoming as a friend’s home. Architect Robert Glazier and designers Meyer Davis and EDG seamlessly blend traditional Mexican influences with the comforts of contemporary luxury to create a vibrant, Riviera-style village with 96 guest rooms and suites plus 61 residences, villas and estates – all with sparkling Sea of Cortez views. There are also eight epic restaurants and bars, three swimming pools, an expansive spa, private art gallery, retail shop featuring local artisans, Kids For All Seasons club, and the Baja 360° Adventure Centre.
“In an incredible market for luxury hospitality, there is a true sense of magic imbued in this last remaining beachfront on the famous Golden Corridor,” says Richard Raab, General Manager, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol. “Lead by our passionate team of hospitality experts, the Four Seasons Cabo Del Sol experience is a daily celebration of this magical landscape, Mexican heritage, and modern, laid-back luxury.”
Stay
Guests are received in the cobblestone covered La Plaza (“the square”), where they are welcomed with the soft breeze off the Sea of Cortez as they enter La Casona (“the home”). The traditional check-in process unfolds over a cool drink on an oversized sofa in lieu of the standard front desk, immediately inviting guests to feel at home, among friends.
Accommodations set a new standard of luxury beachfront living with unrivalled space and thoughtful design. Indoors and outdoors are one, from the retractable, floor-to-ceiling glass doors that look out to the Sea of Cortez and expansive outdoor terraces to the private plunge pools and outdoor showers.
“Our accommodations are redefining luxury beachfront living,” says Edgar Niebla, Resort Manager, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol. “From our 79-square metre (847-square foot) guest rooms to our 674-square metre (7,255-square foot) oceanfront one-bedroom villas, we are welcoming guests to their Mexican home-away-from-home.”
A New Culinary Destination in Los Cabos
Even the most discerning Cabo culinary connoisseurs will be wowed by the Resort’s collection of eight original-concept dining and drinking experiences.
Guided by Executive Chef Miguel Baltazar and Food and Beverage Director Matt Myers, guests can choose from barefoot poolside lunches to Mediterranean-style dinners, lively gatherings in La Casona lobby bar and chic evenings under the stars at Sora, Cabo’s only oceanfront rooftop bar at a luxury resort.
Food and beverage concepts take guests on a gastronomic journey through a diverse tapestry of international flavours rooted in Mexico’s culinary heritage by utilizing the region’s bounty of local ingredients and inventive cooking methods.
At Palmerio, a Mediterranean love letter to the Baja Peninsula, Chef Baltazar brings the flavours and dishes of Provence and Liguria to life in the open kitchen with locally-sourced Pesca con Futuro certified seafood and regionally-grown produce. Local farmers and artisanal producers are showcased throughout the menu, with chefs and waitstaff happy to share the stories that each dish inspires.
Mixology-forward Bar Brisal, is inspired by the casual beachside marisquerías and carretas – food carts – along the coast of Sinaloa, Sonora, and Baja.
A collaboration with internationally-acclaimed Mexican chef-restaurateur Richard Sandoval, Coraluz, is a beach club-style Baja restaurant, and Cayao, which will open later this year, will feature Japanese-Peruvian Nikkei cuisine.  Chef Sandoval also worked with the Resort’s culinary team to conceive the dining and libations menus at Sora Rooftop Bar.
Coming later this year is Mercado, a village-inspired café and marketplace perfect for sipping locally roasted coffee or packing picnic lunches for a day spent exploring.
The food-forward Resort will also offer multiple epicurean experiences including tequila tasting in the Agave Gallery, and a “pasta lab” where Chef Alberto Saavedra teaches the nuances of the handmade pastas he creates for Palmerio restaurant.
Children under five years of age enjoy complimentary meals at each restaurant within the Resort.
Relax and Play
Perched along the captivating coastline on the southernmost tip of Baja where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean, the swimmable beach offers crystal clear water ideal for snorkelling, scuba diving or freediving – all of which can be booked through the Resort’s own Baja 360° Adventure Centre. Guests can also choose from shoreline surf-fishing, SUP (stand-up paddle), boogie boards, kayaks, or a water-skimming Schiller bike.
Families and friends can take part in impromptu beach games, or board an expedition boat to seek out El Arco, the famous Los Cabos Arch.  From November through April, guests have front row loungers for whale watching just offshore, and this more secluded area of the peninsula is also blessed with incredible stargazing opportunities.
Three large pools and hot tubs, including one adults only, one family with shallow splash areas and one spa pool, are tucked neatly into tropical, garden-like settings that overlook the Sea of Cortez. Complimentary shaded loungers surround each pool and private cabanas are available to book daily.
For guests seeking a relaxing or restorative stay, Four Seasons can tailor personalized Pilates, yoga and active meditation sessions.  The ocean-view fitness centre by celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak also offers spin classes and state-of-the-art equipment.
At Tierra Mar Spa, secrets of the local Kumiai tribe are applied to modern treatments that harness the power of indigenous botanicals and their healing properties.  Ten treatment rooms, including two couples’ suites, offer skincare from 111SKIN by world-leading plastic surgeon Dr. Yannis Alexandrides and farm-to-face brand Apotheca Beauty. Tierra Mar Spa also uses the Mexican cosmetics line Xixanthe in at the full-service salon and nail bar.
Nearby within the Cabo Del Sol community, guests of Four Seasons can hit the greens at the award-winning, ocean-view Cabo Del Sol golf course, originally designed by Tom Weiskopf and renovated just last year by Fry Straka.
Younger guests unleash their creativity at Papalote (Spanish for “kite”), the Resort’s fully supervised and always complementary Kids For All Seasons facility for children ages 4 to 12. Daily programming may include everything from sandcastle building and pirate treasure hunts to kids’ yoga and wildlife discovery walks.
