Spicers Clovelly Estate in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland has launched Montville House, a luxuriously appointed stand-alone guesthouse, reflecting Clovelly Estate’s signature French provincial style.
Located by 22 acres of lush, landscaped grounds, Montville House offers six self-contained suites, each with its own distinctive character, and a marble-tiled ensuite including a freestanding limestone bath.
Montville House guests have access to an exclusive stylish lounge/library with open fireplace, private covered veranda, and tranquil gardens to offer the ultimate in relaxation and indulgence.
Montville House celebrates natural textures and materials, timber and cool white stone in bright, airy spaces with generous natural light. French doors open onto lush gardens, the interior is adorned with sophisticated floral prints, and restrained earthy and neutral colours reflecting the leafy surrounds.
Available for individual stays or for private group booking for friends, family and corporate retreats, Montville House adds to Spicers Clovelly’s existing 10 suites in the main guest house and the three bedroom French Cottage.
Montville House is ideal for the ‘special occasion’ event for families and friends, with groups of up to 12 able to gain exclusive use of the whole building, including the covered veranda, lounge and library with an open wood fireplace to encourage coffee, wine and words in a naturally luxurious haven.
The lounge area includes a private dining area, where groups can enjoy award-winning cuisine from adjacent restaurant, The Long Apron. An impressive AV system can be used for presentations, background videos or to celebrate a major moment such as an anniversary or special achievement.
Montville House’s location in the heart of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland provides guests with an exquisite array of attractions to savour over a weekend or longer.
Montville is a destination town replete with galleries, craft shops and fashion boutiques on the road winding along the ridgeline of the Blackall Range, with spectacular views over the Sunshine Coast, before it dips down north toward Noosa and south to the Glass House Mountains.
The region is known for its outstanding produce, and Spicers Clovelly’s The Long Apron Restaurant is a primary attraction for dining aficionados travelling to the Sunshine Coast.
The menu at the Long Apron is inspired by the surroundings, the seasons and the landscape: ocean, hinterland, wetlands.
Head Chef Chris Hagan leads a dedicated team in the kitchen at The Long Apron, drawing on classic French ethos and techniques, and matching time-honoured disciplines with contemporary artistry.
Elegant dining is offered indoors and out, at tables on the terrace or the wide timber veranda. A private dining room is available for more intimate gatherings, or more informally guests can relax in the tranquil gardens with a charcuterie platter and a glass of champagne.
The Long Apron Restaurant is one of the Sunshine Coast’s most highly awarded restaurants. The restaurant has achieved two Chefs’ Hats in the Australian Good Food Guide plus the Readers’ Choice award for the European category and was ranked 18 in the Delicious Top 100 Restaurants for 2019.
