Embassy Suites by Hilton The Woodlands® at Hughes Landing® has announced it will resume operations and reopen on June 1, 2020.
The hotel team is currently taking reservations to welcome guests back to Embassy Suites on 200-acre Lake Woodlands, located just 30 minutes from downtown Houston. The hotel will start by offering select services and occupancy with 70 suites available to guests; and throughout time, it will continue to reopen floors of the hotel as needed. To prioritize the health and safety of all guests and staff, Embassy Suites by Hilton has implemented pertinent social distancing standards and cleanliness guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) and the new Hilton CleanStay Program.
Reservations for Embassy Suites by Hilton The Woodlands at Hughes Landing are available for stays from June 1 and onward, with reopening rates starting at $159.00. The cancellation policy has been conveniently modified to 48 hours prior to day of arrival.
“We look forward to the reopening of the Embassy Suites at Hughes Landing and providing our business and leisure travelers with the care and hospitality that they deserve,” said Scott Spann, Vice President of Hospitality, HHC Hospitality Division, The Howard Hughes Corporation®. “The summer is an opportune time to experience The Woodlands and our property is a great destination to retreat to with the beauty of the Lake Woodlands waterfront, multitude of culinary options and shops just steps away.”
The hotel’s infinity pool will be open to guests, with social distancing guidelines implemented for their safety. The 3,000-square-foot Lake Woodlands Ballroom, capable of division into 3 breakout rooms, and Hughes Landing Boardroom, perfect for small business meetings, will be available for meetings and events with configurations based on local government guidelines. The hotel will also offer revised onsite amenities and services including: a convenient complimentary grab-and-go breakfast option; a grab-and-go sealed evening snack with a choice of two drinks; and a 24-hour pantry with food items available for purchase and to prepare in-room. Services that will be temporarily suspended include morning breakfast buffet, and lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant. Given its premier location, guests are within walking distance to Restaurant Row, complete with eight cuisines as well as a Starbucks®, Whole Foods Market® and specialty retail.
The safety of guests and staff is of highest priority for the reopening of Embassy Suites by Hilton The Woodlands at Hughes Landing. Guests can expect for staff to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), from masks to gloves; temperature checks to be conducted on all staff prior to all shifts; hand sanitizer dispensers to be placed at key entrances and contact areas; and for both guests and staff to maintain at least six feet between individuals and groups. In addition to the guidelines and cleaning procedures recommended by CDC and AHLA, the hotel will follow the new Hilton CleanStay Program, an industry-defining standard of cleanliness and disinfection set to launch in Hilton properties around the world in June 2020. A first of its kind for the hospitality industry, the program grew from collaboration between Hilton and RB, the maker of Lysol and Dettol, in consultation with Mayo Clinic, the top-ranked hospital system in the U.S., to develop elevated processes and team member training to help Hilton guests enjoy an even cleaner and safer stay from check-in to check-out.
Hilton CleanStay was developed to meet evolving consumer expectations during the COVID-19 pandemic and builds upon the already high standards of housekeeping and hygiene at Hilton properties worldwide. During this time, housekeeping at the hotel will be modified to limit entry into occupied guestrooms, with cleaning service provided for stays of five or more nights. Guests staying under five nights will receive daily towels and amenities such as soap, shampoo and coffee; those staying under four nights may receive cleaning service upon request. Housekeeping will also focus on cleaning high touch areas within guestrooms and public areas with the use of new technologies including electrostatic sprayers with disinfecting mist and ultraviolet light to sanitize surfaces and objects. Hotel guests can look for the Hilton CleanStay Room Seal for assurance their room has not been accessed since it was cleaned. Hilton’s complete health and hygiene policies can be found here.
