Bluegreen Vacations launches immersive guest experience

Bluegreen Vacations showcases its innovation with the brand’s newest property, The Marquee, which features immersive guest experiences using augmented reality moments – the first of its kind for the timeshare industry. Inspired by the rich traditions of theatre, vaudeville, and story in New Orleans, this luxury property is set to officially open its doors in the heart of New Orleans’ historic theater district on June 15, 2019.

Tall, elegant and stylish, The Marquee resort rises 17 stories above the vibrant streets of New Orleans, offering impressive views of the Crescent City. Featuring innovative décor that reflects its location, The Marquee is designed to be a home away from home with over 90+ spacious villas that feature one, two- and three-bedroom suites with décor selected for classic lines.

Guests will be able to download the Bluegreen Vacations mobile app and point their phones or tablets at certain elements in the guest rooms triggering A/R characters to come to life, telling stories about New Orleans. Additionally, guests’ names are dynamically displayed as featured characters on the storytelling script written on the walls of the lobby.

The Marquee is like no other in the marketplace, and we’re excited that our owners and guests will soon get to start making unforgettable memories at this remarkable property.”

Led by Timothy Schwering, Bluegreen Vacations’ director of planning and design, this exciting exploration of the guest experience was a collaboration between New Orleans-based architecture practice SCNZ, interior designer Van Dresser, general contractor Woodward Construction and A/V Design + Integration firm Electrosonic, with creative consultants Hotopp. The Marquee is the third fee-based service arrangement between Bluegreen Vacations and Michigan-based Accelerated Assets, with the other resorts located in Chicago and Orlando.
