Winemaker experience
Turning wine lovers into winemakers! Guests can now enjoy the opportunity to master the art of blending at one of the Algarve’s most awarded wine producers. The experience takes place in Quinta dos Vales (40 minutes from the hotel) starting with a winery tour guided by the local winemaker followed by time in the blending room where guests can experiment the blending of different grape varieties, to find their own personal preference. Once happy with their formula, guests are invited to seal their bottle, leaving the winery with their very own signature wine creation.
Unique sailing experience with a private chef onboard
Make like Royalty for the day, with a fantastic sailing experience onboard a Yacht Bavaria 41 with a specially designed meal cooked by a private Conrad Algarve chef. Clam picking & oyster tasting
A unique local experience… an opportunity to spend the day with a local clam picker on his daily clam picking tasks. A real-life adventure on a traditional fisherman’s wooden boat seeing age-old skills in action. The tour is accompanied by a Portuguese water dog, famous as the Obamas’ pet dogs, this is an exciting opportunity to meet and interact with this special Portuguese breed. The activity takes place in the heart of the natural park of Ria Formosa, a protected lagoon for different species of fauna and flora. Guided by an experienced, local fisherman and nature guide guests will learn the old ways of clam and razor clam picking, along with other curiosities. The tour also includes a visit to an oyster bank for an oyster degustation with local white wine.
