
Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre has promoted Mariam Aziz to the role of complex director of events, overseeing the events and group business across five Marriott properties, including the flagship Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre, Aloft Dubai Airport, Element Dubai Airport, Aloft Al Mina, and Element Al Mina.
With nearly a decade of experience across the Marriott portfolio, Aziz brings deep operational expertise and a proven track record in delivering seamless event experiences. In her previous role as complex senior manager – groups and events, she successfully managed a portfolio of over 24 meeting and conference venues spanning more than 44,000 square feet.
Aziz has also played a pivotal role in shaping marketing and sales strategies, particularly in the weddings and large-scale events segment. Under her leadership, the events team achieved a 100 percent client satisfaction score year-to-date, earning widespread praise for service excellence.
Her career journey includes notable positions at Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel & Towers and Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf, where she spearheaded integration strategies and drove revenue growth. She has also been recognised with multiple industry accolades, including Hotelier Middle East’s ’30 Under 30′ and the ‘Spirit to Serve’ award from Marriott International.
