
Salamander Collection has appointed Allison Dlugatz as the new managing director of PGA National Resort, one of the country’s most iconic golf destinations.
With more than two decades of hospitality experience and a strong track record of leading large teams, she joins PGA National Resort from Trump National Doral in Miami, where she served as General Manager since 2021, and where she also served as Director of Operations and Director of Catering and Conference Services during her 13-year tenure. Previously, she served in several leadership positions at the InterContinental Boston Hotel, while earlier in her career she worked with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and Loews Hotels.
Earlier this year, the 807-acre PGA National Resort was purchased in a joint venture partnership between Henderson Park, South Street Partners and Salamander Collection, which also manages the property. Originally opened in 1981, the renowned resort recently underwent a $100 million-plus renovation and offers 360 guest rooms and 99 holes of championship golf, including the famed Champion Course – host since 2007 to the PGA TOUR’s Cognizant Classic. Additional upgrades and renovations are being planned.
With a total of six stellar golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Tom Fazio, Andy Staples and Karl Litten, the resort has staged the 1983 Ryder Cup, the 1987 PGA Championship, and multiple Senior PGA Championships. The resort also showcases a 40,000-square-foot spa designed by V Starr, six culinary concepts spearheaded by the Michelin-Recommended Butcher’s Club from Chef Jeremy Ford and Honeybelle from multiple James Beard Award nominee Chef Lindsay Autry, a state-of-the-art Sports & Racquet Club, and an elegant selection of group and event space.
Dlugatz brings extensive expertise in overseeing all facets of resort operations, with a focus on business strategy, service innovation, and team development. Throughout her career, she has built and directed high-performing teams, championing a culture where employee engagement drives outstanding guest satisfaction. A graduate of the University of Hartford in Connecticut, Dlugatz was born in Middletown, NY, and is married to her husband Jonathan. In her free time she enjoys trying new restaurants, working out, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
