Alexander Henskens appointed Hotel Manager at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London

JW Marriott Grosvenor House London is delighted to announce the appointment of Alexander Henskens as Hotel Manager for the 496-room and first hotel on Park Lane, renowned for its Great Room.

Alexander joins Grosvenor House from the 411-room hotel, the Royal Lancaster London, where he served as Hotel Manager since 2018. During his tenure at the Royal Lancaster, Alexander supported the hotel’s repositioning from a four-star to a five-star property, securing an AA five-star accreditation, driving exceptional LQA scores and high-ranking guest reviews. In addition, Alexander’s passion for fostering a positive working culture within the team contributed to the hotel being ranked within the top 50 for ‘The Times Top 100 Places to Work’ in the UK for two consecutive years.

Having originally started his career at the Four Seasons hotel in Canary Wharf, Alexander boasts over 15 years’ experience within the five-star luxury hospitality sector including Hotel Manager at the Montcalm Hotel Marble Arch in 2013, overseeing the hotel’s re-launch and Hotel Manager at the Amba Marble Arch in 2015, a 692-room hotel.

A collaborative leader with extensive knowledge in both food & beverage and rooms operations, Alexander will oversee all hotel operations across Grosvenor House, including banqueting for the iconic Great Room, 20 meeting and function rooms, the Park Room, and the JW Steakhouse which has started an exciting renovation, reopening in late April 2025.
