Hotel Landy, Orlando’s newest Tribute Portfolio hotel and Universal Partner Hotel, announces the appointment of Jason Johnson as Director of Sales. Johnson’s arrival comes at an exciting time for Orlando, with 2025 bringing multiple developments to the destination, including the highly anticipated addition of Universal Epic Universe. Hotel Landy’s prime location in the heart of the I-Drive corridor positions it perfectly to serve the growing number of leisure and business travelers to the area.

Johnson joins Hotel Landy following successful tenures at some of Florida’s most distinctive properties, including his recent role as Director of Sales and Catering at the Grand Bohemian Hotel in downtown Orlando. Prior to that, he served as Director of Sales at Margaritaville Resort Orlando, where he guided the property from pre-opening through its crucial first years, including navigating the challenges of the post-pandemic hospitality landscape.

His diverse career path uniquely positions him to understand the comprehensive hospitality experience. Beginning as a room service and banquet server while pursuing studies at Arizona State University, Johnson discovered his passion for the industry that would shape his professional journey. His career evolved through roles at premier resorts across Scottsdale, Lake Tahoe, and Coeur d’Alene, before spending twelve years with HelmsBriscoe, where he rose to Managing Director for the state of Florida.

“Jason’s extensive background in both the meetings industry and lifestyle hotels makes him the perfect addition to Hotel Landy,” said Demetrius Hodge, General Manager of Hotel Landy. “His creative approach to hospitality and deep understanding of the Orlando market align perfectly with our mission to provide guests with an energetic, unforgettable experience. As we continue to establish Hotel Landy as a premier destination in this vibrant corridor, Jason’s leadership will be instrumental in driving our growth and success.”

In his new role, Johnson will oversee all Group and Catering Sales initiatives for Hotel Landy, including the property’s nearly 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space, group sales, and corporate partnerships. The hotel’s prime location, minutes from the Orange County Convention Center and Universal Orlando’s current parks and future Epic Universe, combined with its distinctive amenities and Universal Partner Hotel status, provides Johnson with unique opportunities to showcase the property to a growing market of business and leisure travelers.
