John Luckett appointed President of Hospality Operations at Kessler

Kessler, a dynamic family-led hospitality brand transforming vibrant destinations with boutique hotels, restaurants and experiences across the Southeast has appointed seasoned hotelier, John Luckett as president of hospitality operations.

Formerly Kessler’s chief operating officer, John will be returning to the brand expanding on his previous 15-year tenure and overseeing the company’s hospitality, sales and marketing, information technology, human resources, and operations sectors. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, his responsibilities will contribute to the continued growth of operational strategies and corporate, commercial and human capital across the entire portfolio.

John’s three decades of expertise reflect his continued success in the hospitality industry, contributing to the growth of luxury boutique hotels and repositioning full-service resorts, while accomplishing guest satisfaction, associate engagement and operational excellence. Prior to his current role, John served as the chief operating officer at MasterCorp, Inc where he implemented effective strategies for hotel and laundry services alongside managing operations focused on excelling performance, strategic execution and resource management. During his role as general manager, the Grand Bohemian Asheville was recognized as Marriott Autograph Collection Hotel of the Year in 2012. John also received the Marriott Autograph Manager of the Year award and was honored three times as Kessler’s General Manager of the Year.

John holds a master’s degree in hospitality entrepreneurship from Florida State University and a bachelor’s degree in hotel & restaurant management from Western Kentucky University. Before joining Kessler, John worked at Vail Resorts, in general manager positions at La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa and Keystone Lodge & Spa, where he spearheaded multimillion-dollar renovations and elevated the guest experience. During John’s tenure leading the resort, La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa was recognized as one of the Top 500 Hotels in the World by Travel + Leisure.
