The Millennium Place Barsha Heights has announced the appointment of Luca Medda as its general manager.
His immediate remit is to improve customer experience and enhance the hotel’s overall success.
Medda has almost 30 years experience in the hotel industry all over the Middle East and the rest of the world.
Most recently, he was cluster general manager at the Grand Millennium Hotel & Millennium Executive Apartment in Muscat, Oman.
Other career highlights include his role as general manager at Centro Capital Doha Hotel by Rotana, where he oversaw the pre-opening of the first Centro property in Doha. Under his leadership, the hotel received the ‘Best Hotel Opening of 2016’ award within the group.
Medda is an Italian citizen and is fluent in four languages, Italian, English, French, and German. He also holds multiple diplomas in hotel management, business economics, and languages from institutions across Europe.
He replaces Glenn Nobbs in the role, who is leaving to return to Muscat for a new position.
