The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern, Auberge Resort Collection, is pleased to announce the appointment of Joern Schwaiger as General Manager. A seasoned hospitality veteran with over 20 years of luxury hotel experience, Joern will oversee all operations for the 6.5 acre property.
Prior to The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern, Joern opened luxury hotels around the world, from Dubai to Beijing and Manila, as well as reopening the iconic Plaza Hotel in New York. He’s worked with brands worldwide such as Fairmont Hotels and Resorts and Raffles Hotels, most recently as the Director of Operations at the Triple Forbes Five Star, Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego.
Born and raised in Karlshruhe, Germany, Joern’s passion for hospitality and different cultures has taken him through North America, the Middle East, and Asia, before returning to the United States. He is an avid sports fan, loves the outdoors, and enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
