Marriott International proudly announces the appointment of Nick Heavisideas the new Complex Director of Food and Beverage. Heaviside will be responsible for six Wasl-owned Marriott Hotel properties; Le Meridien Dubai Hotel and Conference Centre, Le Meridien Fairway, Aloft & Element AlMina, and Aloft & Element Dubai Airport.
Overseeing the operations of all six properties, Heaviside brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to elevate the hotel’s gastronomic offerings. Having held prominent positions in renowned establishments globally, Nick is celebrated for his innovative approach and understanding of evolving agronomic trends, and his leadership is poised to enhance namely, Le Meridien Dubai Hotel and ConferenceCentre’s reputation as a culinary destination of choice in Dubai.
Nick’s longstanding career in the culinary world has taken him from the cote d’azur in 2004 to 2008 before moving on to Bahrain in 2010 to Bahrain in 2010, where he worked as Chef de Cuisine. His journey then took him to Qatar and Oman before working for Constance Hotels in Seychelles from 2014 as Executive Chef and being promoted to executive assistant Manager F&B in 2019. In October 2021 he widened his MiddleEast and Africa experience by joiningRabatMarriott Hotel in Morocco as Director of Culinary, Restaurant, and Events, opening the hotel with food concepts created in partnership with JoëlRobuchon and Moroccan celebrity chef Najat Kaanache.
Nick who took up his role in July 2023, will be responsible for a total of 28 dining venues and bars, including Seafood Market, Kiku, Yalumba, Warehouse, The Dubliner’s, and more, and will oversee a team of540associates and53nationalitiesand himself reportintoBhavesh Rawal, Hotel Manager of Le Meridien DubaiHotel and Conference Centre.

Alongside the appointment of Nick, Marriott International has promoted Jenno Pellejo from Assistant Complex Food and Beverage Marketing Manager to Complex Food and Beverage Marketing Manager.
Jenno, who has been with the Marriott International group for nine years has worked across the six-property complex since 2021 and has previously held positions at Aloft Palm Jumeira and Sheraton JBR where he started as a waiter, before working his way up the F&B Marketing Executive joining the team at Le Meridien Dubai Hotel and Conference Centre. Reporting to the Complex Marketing Director, Tijana Lazarov, he will be overseeing six Wasl-owned properties, including all 28 dining venues.
