Jason C. Bass appointed Director of Culture and Programming at Thompson Atlanta-Buckhead

Thompson Atlanta-Buckhead, the urban lifestyle luxury hotel located in one of Atlanta’s most desirable neighborhoods, announces Jason C. Bass asJason C. Bass Director of Culture and Programming. In this role, Bass curates a range of culturally diverse programming, oversees community-focused brand strategy and collaborates with external partners to enhance guest experience.

Prior to the Thompson Atlanta-Buckhead, Bass served as the Director of Culture and Impact for Hotel Revival in Baltimore, Maryland, establishing himself as the first ever Director of Culture and Impact in the Hyatt portfolio. While at Hotel Revival, he worked alongside current General Manager of the Thompson Atlanta-Buckhead and hospitality veteran, Donte Johnson. Bass is a community activist with a personal philosophy of presenting your authentic self, appreciating and respecting culture, driving meaningful impact and supporting small businesses and entrepreneurship.

Throughout his vibrant career as an entrepreneur and experience-curator Bass has founded multiple businesses spanning across various industries. In 2016, he established Treason Toting Company, a Baltimore-based travel apparel and accessories brand with an emphasis on locally manufactured goods. As co-founder and CEO, he raised $600k and led a venture partnership with Baltimore-based sports apparel giant, Under Armour. In 2018, Bass started The Night Brunch, a pop-up dining event series meant to break down social and racial barriers and bring people together through music, food and community. During the last year, The Night Brunch team has hosted over 50 events at the top restaurants and hotels in Baltimore, provided 2,200 meals to a West Baltimore community through the Night Brunch Summer Lunch program and more.

Bass received the “Maverick Award” from the Reginald F. Lewis Museum in 2023, the “Impact Award” from MRI Programs in 2022, the “Award of Excellence” from Hospitality design in 2022, the “Icon of Culture” award by Indie Hotel Congress in 2021, the Baltimore Business Journal’s “Leaders in Diversity Award” in 2020, and the “Positive People Award” by the Baltimore Times Newspaper in 2019.

The Thompson Atlanta-Buckhead is comprised of 201 luxury rooms and suites, a seasonal rooftop pool, a 24-hour fitness center, four private meeting facilities, a 4,187-square-foot banquet hall and three food and beverage concepts. These include Lobby Bar, a Georgian-inspired small plates and cocktail bar, Dirty Rascal, a modern Italian-American restaurant, and Tesserae, an indoor-outdoor rooftop bar.
