Aqua-Aston Hospitality announces Cherie Frost’s appointment to general manager at Aston at the Whaler on Kaanapali
Beach. The leisure beachfront property set along Maui’s coveted Kaanapali Beach shoreline offers travelers the comfort of condominium style accommodations with the convenience of hotel amenities.
As general manager, Frost will manage Aqua-Aston Hospitality’s rental units at The Whaler from a new off-site location in Kaanapali. She will lead the team in supporting guest requests, including customer service, housekeeping, maintenance and more.
“Frost brings over 30 years of invaluable hospitality management to this new role, paired with an extensive understanding of the condominium and timeshare resort industry,” said Bob Berges, Regional Vice President of Operations for Aqua-Aston Hospitality. “We know she will be a great asset to the Aqua-Aston Hospitality team and will continue to maintain and elevate the services available to guests at The Whaler.”
Prior to joining Aqua-Aston Hospitality, Frost was the general manager at Wyndham Destinations for more than 13 years. Frost held leadership roles for over half of her career and played a role in the openings of Wyndham Oceanside Pier Resort and The Moab Resort, WorldMark Associate. Frost was recognized with Wyndham’s ‘People Development Award’ in its inaugural year for her mentorship. She also received Wyndham’s Pineapple Award in 2012 for the highest level of excellence at a resort and was an American Resort Development Association (ARDA) finalist on three separate occasions.
Philanthropic and community-oriented, Frost has volunteered with several organizations including the Armed Forces Operation Appreciation, Ivey Ranch Park Association, Jack & Jill Late Stage Cancer Association and regularly participates in local beach clean ups. In her new role as general manager, Frost is eager to build relationships across the island while liaising with new and returning visitors at Aston at the Whaler on Kaanapali Beach.
