The Woodstock Inn & Resort announces the promotion of Lauren Thompson to controller. Thompson previously served as assistant controller when she joined the Woodstock Inn & Resort team in 2017.
In her new position, Thompson oversees and serves as the point person for financial, accounting, and banking responsibilities for the Woodstock Inn & Resort, including audits, purchasing, annual operating and capital budgeting, and tax preparation, among other fiduciary management. Thompson will join the Resort’s leadership team in this new position.
“Lauren is a results-driven professional with a proven track record,” said Elaine Olson, interim president of the Woodstock Inn & Resort. “Over her six years on the Resort team, she has implemented improvements to numerous areas including payroll, credit card payment processing, allocation accounting, budgeting and reporting. We are confident Lauren will continue to thrive in this new leadership position,” she continued.
Thompson is a Certified Plan Sponsor Professional (CPSP), a credential that certifies that Thompson has the knowledge needed to protect the organization from fiduciary risk and help secure their plan participants’ retirement success. Thompson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business from the College of New Jersey.
