Fathi Sarsouri has been appointed Director of Food and Beverage at YOTEL Washington DC

Director of Food and BeverageFathi Sarsouri is appointed as the new Director of Food and Beverage of YOTEL Washington DC on Capitol Hill. With almost twenty years of experience at top-rated restaurants across the US, Sarsouri will oversee operations of the 377-room hotel’s award-winning Art and Soul restaurant and Deck 11 rooftop lounge.

“With his vast experience and dynamic background, we are excited for Fathi to collaborate with our talented culinary team to further elevate Art and Soul and Deck 11,” said Matt Sommers, YOTEL Washington DC’s general manager. “We are confident that his vision for our food and beverage outlets aligns with our goals, and we look forward to what’s to come for the hotel’s dining scene.”

Recently recognized by The Washington Post Food Critic Tom Sietsema for its beef tartare that “merits a pedestal” and grilled swordfish with chipotle dressing “that lingers on the tongue and in the mind,” Art and Soul is helmed by Chef Danny Chavez, who will work closely with Sarsouri to source premier regional ingredients for its scratch kitchen, and continue its best in class presentation and service standards.

Prior to joining YOTEL Washington DC, Sarsouri served as director of food and beverage at Hilton Alexandria Old Town, where he was responsible for the operations, budgeting, and compliance of the food and beverage department. He has also overseen food and beverage programs at L’Auberge De Sedona in Arizona, Intercontinental Hotel Miami in Florida, and Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America.
