Robertson Lodges, the luxury lodge group behind Kauri Cliffs, The Farm at Cape Kidnappers and Matakauri Lodge, announce the appointment of Mr. Anthony Ross as Chief Operating Officer. In this newly appointed position, Ross will oversee the operations of the three Relais & Chateaux family-owned New Zealand lodges. He is be based in New Zealand.
Ross brings more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry spanning roles on several continents and working in hotel management, hotel owner’s liaison, business development and hospitality consulting.
“Anthony’s global experience and proven track record in diverse areas of hospitality, both with international brands and at the luxury lodge level, makes him uniquely positioned for the role. His appointment brings a strategic addition to our senior management team as we further enhance Robertson Lodges’ offerings and growth,” said Jay Robertson, Chief Executive Officer, Robertson Lodges. “We are excited to have Anthony join us at this important time, as my family continues building on an on-going commitment to New Zealand tourism, hospitality and our truly fantastic Robertson Lodges’ teams”, he added.
Australian born and educated, Ross spent several years as CEO of JA Resorts & Hotels in Dubai and Aryaduta Hotel Group in Indonesia, and many years as General Manager and Area General Manager with Swire Hotels in China. Most recently, since returning to New Zealand, his consulting firm Longview Hospitality Ltd., has acted as Owner’s Representative for Park Hyatt’s in Auckland and Melbourne. In 2004 Anthony founded and ran Azur Lodge in New Zealand, giving him a strong background in the country’s boutique lodge industry.
