Susan Dampier named General Manager of The Aspen Mountain Residences

Susan DampierThe Grand Aspen Resort Condominium Association board of directors and owners have announced the appointment of Susan Dampier as General Manager of The Aspen Mountain Residences. Drawing upon more than 15 years of hospitality experience in Aspen, Dampier will oversee all operations of the newly rebranded luxury property, located in the center of Aspen’s “front row.” 

Before joining The Aspen Mountain Residences, Dampier served as General Manager for Snowmass Mountain Club, where she was responsible for operations, programming, and membership development. Prior to that, Dampier held leadership positions at Aspen Skiing Company including Limelight Hotels, The Little Nell Hotel, and The Residences at The Little Nell.Dampier holds a bachelor’s degree from University of New Hampshire, Durham, N.H., and certificates in Strategic Leadership and Financial Management from Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y.“I am thrilled to embark on this new chapter with The Aspen Mountain Residences and East West Hospitality to bring a fresh, but familiar touch to the vibrant town of Aspen,” said Dampier. “I look forward to welcoming new and returning owners to enjoy our reimagined property experience while making new memories during their time with us.”

Dampier joins the Aspen Mountain Residences executive team of seasoned professionals, each of whom has a deep connection to Aspen and an extraordinary track record of service and commitment to the property. They include:

  • Claudine Grondin, Director of Operations – Claudine has been at Hyatt Grand Aspen, now Aspen Mountain Residences, since 2006, overseeing all departments, including Front Desk, Guest Services, Finance and Human Resources.
  • Roger Haneman, Director of Owner Relations – Roger’s Aspen tenure stretches back to 1991, when he began his career as Night Auditor at Hyatt Grand Aspen. He is now heading into the next phase of the property as Director of Owner Relations.
  • Phil “Jocko” Joyal, Director of Engineering – A native of Massachusetts, Jocko moved to Aspen 1978 to spend a winter skiing, and like many, he never left. An expert in all things maintenance and painting-related, he joined the team at Hyatt Grand Aspen in 2013.
  • Liliveth Funes Jurado, Director of Housekeeping – Liliveth has been a resident of the Roaring Fork Valley for 19 years. Her first job in Aspen was as a housekeeper at the Ritz-Carlton Club Aspen Highlands. She later joined Hyatt Grand Aspen as Housekeeping Manager in 2006.  Liliveth enjoys working as Director of Housekeeping as it allows her to utilize her business education and training, along with her interpersonal skills, to provide the highest level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
