Highgate, a leading real estate and hospitality management company with eight hotels in Hawaii, announces the promotions of key team members. Courtney Conching has been named director of sales at ‘Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach and area director of group sales for Highgate Hawaii, and Shauna Nakamura has been appointed area director of leisure and transient sales for Highgate Hawaii.

Courtney Conching has been promoted to director of sales at ‘Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach and area director of group sales for Highgate Hawaii. In her new role, she will lead sales efforts and implement strategies to maximize revenue and overall profit. For the past two years, Conching served as the area director of group sales for Highgate Hawaii, where she oversaw sales for all seven Highgate Hawaii properties. Conching has over 12 years of hospitality experience and has held positions with Starwood Waikiki Complex, Hilton and Marriott International.
Shauna Nakamura, who has worked at Highgate Hawaii for five years, has been promoted to area director of leisure and transient sales for Highgate Hawaii. In her new role, Nakamura will be responsible for wholesale, retail, travel advisor and group sales for all seven Highgate Hawaii properties. She previously served as sales manager for Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach. Nakamura has over 25 years of experience with wholesale travel, product development and DMC operations. Her entrepreneurial drive and business management skills have contributed to market leading results, revenue gains and excellent customer relationships.
These new promotions come at an exciting time for Highgate Hawaii. The brand recently announced it will operate the Royal Lahaina Resort on Maui and has further expansion plans in the pipeline. Known for its innovative leadership efforts, Highgate continues to reach into new markets and introduce innovative programming, further cementing its position as a leader in the hospitality industry.
