The Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club has hired Richard Szilagyi as its new resident manager.

In this role, Szilagyi will oversee operations at the historic Florida resort, including the lobby, rooms and housekeeping. As the resident manager, Szilagyi will play a pivotal leadership role in the resort’s sweeping renovations, which will elevate the luxury resort as the premiere destination in downtown St. Pete and are slated to complete their first phase later this year.

Born in Germany and raised in Canada in a hospitality family, Szilagyi comes to The Vinoy from The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans, where he worked as the executive assistant manager and was responsible for the resort’s rooms, spa and retail operations.

He brings over 30 years of leadership experience in hospitality management, having worked at many luxury hotels across North America including the Balboa Bay Club and Resort in Newport Beach, CA, and the Lotte New York Palace.
