Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel, a lush, private, and spacious urban oasis located on iconic Sunset Boulevard, announced the appointment of Houssem Tasco as Managing Director.
Tasco will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for the hotel through a planned upcoming refurbishment, and spearhead daily property management, spanning all aspects of the property from guest services and operations, to asset management.
Tasco joins Luxe Sunset Boulevard following nearly five years at Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, where he began as a critical member of the Executive Committee, serving as Director of Front Office Operations on the opening team for the luxury property. He later served as Director of Rooms & Guest Services, before being promoted to Director of Hotel Operations in October 2019.
During his time at Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, Tasco was responsible for leading a union team of front desk, concierge, guest relations, guest services, valet, and housekeeping, totaling 170 employees. He was instrumental in the grand opening of the world-class hotel and, under his leadership, the property achieved Forbes Five-Star rating within its first year of operation and every year since.
Tasco’s experience further spans markets from ultra-luxury Beverly Hills, beachfront Hawaii, and mega-volume Las Vegas, to the international market of the Mediterranean coast, as a native of Tunisia.
Tasco has proven success in partnering with ownership to deliver value for key stakeholders, and has a keen attention to detail of service to deliver on and exceed the expectations of his most discerning guests.
“It is with great pleasure that we welcome Houssem Tasco to Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel,” said Aron Harkham, President, and Ben Harkham, Director of Brand Strategy, in a joint statement. “With his track record for growing and developing best-in-class teams, we’re confident that he will deliver an exceptional experience for our guests and will lead our hotel and team forward to even greater accolades and achievements in the months and years to come.”
