Hawks Cay Resort, an iconic destination resort in the Florida Keys, is happy to announce the appointment of Anna Lawrence as the resort’s new director of sales. Anna brings a deep understanding of the local Florida Keys market and experience in implementing innovative sales campaigns.
In her new role, Lawrence will lead a new sales initiative to promote and support groups and events post-pandemic. The first phase of the program launches this week with a new online portal where meeting planners can connect with a resort representative from the comfort of their own home for a virtual tour.
“The ability to create and drive fresh sales campaigns is imperative for the success of Hawks Cay Resort as we continue to adapt to new market trends and traveler preferences,” said Sheldon Suga, Hawks Cay Resort regional vice president and managing director. “Anna brings those qualities with her and we look forward to her contributions to our sales team.”
Lawrence knows the resort well as she began her career in hospitality at Hawks Cay Resort as a summer intern in 2011. She rejoins the resort from Ocean Properties, where she was regional director of group sales responsible for the entire portfolio of their Florida Keys properties. She has worked in various positions at several well-known Florida Keys resorts, including Hyatt Place at Faro Blanco and Islamorada Resort Collection, where she successfully developed campaigns that increased overall revenue growth.
