Mereté Hotel Management has selected Terry Goldman as its Vice President of Operations. Goldman will oversee the operation of the 16 hotels managed by Mereté and will oversee two hotel projects in Bend, Oregon, that are currently in development.
Mr. Goldman is a graduate of Washington State University’s College of Business and Economics, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration. He has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including multiple General Manager and Director of Sales positions at Marriott and Hilton branded hotels in the Portland area. In his most recent role, Goldman was the Chief Enthusiast at the Canopy Portland Pearl District where he opened the hotel in 2018. He previously opened the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Portland/Hillsboro for Mereté as General Manager in 2004.

Mr. Goldman is extremely active in the Portland business community, where he was the past President and CEO of the Washington County Visitor’s Association. He served as Commissioner of the Metro Exposition and Recreation Commission for more than 7 years, and he was a member of the Board of Directors for Travel Portland for 4 years. He served on the Board for the Oregon Restaurant and Lodging Association from 2015–2018. In 2010, Goldman was awarded the J. Willard Marriott Award of Excellence, the highest individual honor Marriott awards to its more than 176,000 associates. In 2007, he was recognized as the Oregon Lodging Association’s Inn Keeper of the Year.
